Polyester, also known as PET or polyethylene terephthalate, is recommended for versatile, high performing labels, tags, nameplates, faceplates, control panel overlays, and graphic overlays. The king of durability!!!! This is your go to label construction for extreme durability, and the benefits are endless… We almost always add over the printed label a protective optically clear polyester laminate or overlaminate as some refer to it, that protects and encapsulates the ink beneath it for even more added protection from the weather elements including UV and solvent exposure. Polyester labels resist tearing, abrasion, and most solvents. Polyester labels can withstand high temperatures up to 302F (150C), or low temperatures down to -40F (-40C). Polyester labels are used indoors to label products that require a long label life. Indoor applications include equipment labels, asset labels, UL Labels, electronic labels, and computer labels to name a few. Polyester labels are great for outdoor applications given that they are waterproof, weatherproof, UV resistant, and temperature stable. Products which are exposed to weather, that utilize
